Who remembers the old-school electric meter..before they actually had a meter base?
Could this be a seal to one of them?

Re: A Chrismas Eve I Dont Know (new pics)

A little more complicated then I first thought. Still do not know. The retractable watch fob is plausible, but at 11/16ths wide? The new closeups are of the front indentation with a little slide knob at a little over 1/32. A pin hole view of the bottom with something shiny inside, the hole is a little over 1/32. The bar sticking out of the top inside the sleeve has a little notch that runs down into the center. Ideas?

I have seen very small fobs but do not recall any this size, I keep looking at it and thinking to myself "pull-chain" type ceiling lamp switch part, as in the part the chain recoils back into. Could be way off and I may just pull one off the closet ceiling to have a closer look.

What camera are you using, you have fantastic close-ups of this. :coffee2:

After cleaning in a sonic jewelry cleaner a partial patent date came out. Pat. May 1, cannot tell if another number follows the 1. I do not see anything but it has a blemish that is situated right next to the 1. The date, 188? My guess on this is a retractable watch winder key.

Can you take a close up of the patent date?

Hope these pics help. Every time I take a closer look the numbers change. Arty

Try doing a pencil rub with tracing paper, might get a better read.

Good pics. Thanks. I definitely see PAT. and MAY and 188 and a 1 but I cant visualize. Any chance you can zoom out and take a pic with the entire patent on one screen? Be careful of the reflection.
