Hi,

First post. Seems like any time I or my wife gets close to rocks our eyes are on the ground! She was taking a tour of an area in the Sichuan province of China (she's a Chinese national). Anyway she found these 2 rocks and we were wondering if anyone could help us identify them? The one with the green coloration is interesting. Both were in the middle of a shallow river where she was wading looking for...you guessed it...ROCKS! Both were submerged. Semi mountainous area. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have a great day!

Marc

#1 could be jasper
#2 could be several things. Including: Epidote & serpentine. Do a hardness test.
