A couple of fat red birds raiding my feeder and my best sunflower

Hi All,

This first one I call "Revenge of the Chickens". For years I have had sparrows and other birds getting into my chicken coop and eating the laying mash. Over the weekend a couple of hens decided to get even by raiding my bird feeder. (I keep this one feeder right outside my window in the shrubs as the Cardinals eat from it, they will not eat from the exposed feeder.)



The second picture is my largest sunflower head. It was not my tallest which I measured at 12 feet. This one was only eight feet high but it had plenty of seeds.

That sunflower was about the only complete one I have left. I should have gotten them in a couple of weeks ago to keep them from getting devoured. I keep the pictured one in the garage as I will use it for next years seeds. My other sunflowers I decided to let stand in the garden for the birds to eat.
