Love the colors would have been nice to see these guys complete

Thanks. I'm lucky enough to find some pretty amazing colors, all on the same 500 acres. Here are a few examples. The really dark one is almost purple, and I find tons of flakes that color, but I'm still waiting to find something whole. FullSizeRender(5).webp

As my mentor told me, "you have to find 100 brokes for every hole one" Sure glad that is not always true, good looking material on that site!

Its coastal plains chert when heat treated it will turn some nice colors. Hope you find a whole one soon.

Some of my best pieces came from southwest Georgia when I was a tree planter about 30 years ago. Are you anywhere near Lumpkin?

Nice finds love the colors and size
They remind me of the awesome finds that Americus would post almost daily will deff miss them.

I'm just outside of Americus in Sumter Co, about 30-40 miles from Lumpkin.

I wish I had some of the permissions to hunt where Americus hunted. There are alot of excellent locations in the county, being sited as it is between the Flint and Chattahoochee rivers, with the Muckalee, Kinchafoonee, Chokee, etc creeks as pathways to and from the rivers. Lots of great raw materials for knapping as well.
