I was sorting through some of the stuff I got in Mongolia, and I pulled these pieces out of a jumble of bladelets just to show some of the micro technology taken to an extreme.
The first piece is a little core they that had several bladelets removed, it also has a small spur and use wear polish from scraping on the one end.
The second piece has 6 bladelet scars off the face, and use wear on both sides where they used it as a tool.
The third piece is a bladelet/core that has bladelets take from both ends, as well as secondary flaking to make it an awl like tool.
The fourth picture are two pieces that show the extremes of material. The green piece has red splotches and is one of the most colorful pieces of material I have seen. The second piece is just a really grainy quartzite or chert that has 5 bladelet scars on it (amazing they could do that with this material.)
The fifth picture is just a group shot.
