This summer up here was very hot. I only got out 5 times between July and September. I went to a cellar that I hadn’t been to since 2015 when I was fairly new and using the AT pro. The first 4 hunts were solid, I found 7 Infantry button and a POD railway button. We got a soaking rain on Monday,Tuesday so I went back out. What a difference!!! I think I found the rest of the jacket! 9 more infantry buttons! For a total of 16! Happy dance! I had a extra hour so I went down the road and hit the cellar where I found the mass button, got 4 small designed buttons and a flat superfine button. Whoo!!!

Congratulations, those are some beautiful buttons. Any chance you can tie the spot back to a name and possibly back to a CW unit? It would be cool to figure out who may have owned the coat. Something to do if you are snowed in!
I have the name of the person down the road and across ,which are the same. The 1892 map says this was a school but obviously it was a residence before that. I’ll have to go to the nh historical society this winter and look at old maps and plots of the area. I’m pretty sure that this was the same name since it looks like this family owned a great deal in the area. I might go back today after work since we just had some torrential rain .
