Interesting.

It may help in any identification about the context of this find.

When you say "amongst tons of artifacts." What exactly does that mean?
What other artifacts?

Please provide more information about where this was found? How it was found, that sort of information please.

What type of rock do you think this is made from?

Simply saying "What is this"? Is like calling the doctor on the telephone, and saying "I hurt, look where I am pointing. What do you think is wrong?"

I don't know what kind of rock it is to be honest. And I found it in Lincolnton in a big field where there is a pond, and I know that the people who sold us this property had family that created cape Hatteras where the lost colony was....

Also it was found at the bottom of a very large shady tree by accident when my fiance was digging out and cleaning up the wooded area. It also was black in color when found but we unfortunately washed it.. now it is a greenish color.....

Sorry, most of what you have posted is natural stones. Pictures 3949, 3955, and 4010 all the same stone is the only possibility I see in pictures posted better pictures of those would help. Picture 0906 I believe is a case of pareidolia.

Pareidolia (/ˌpærɪˈdoʊliə, ˌpɛər-/; also US:) is the tendency for perception to impose a meaningful interpretation on a nebulous stimulus, usually visual, so that one sees an object, pattern, or meaning where there is none.

So since you think I'm just using my amazing imagination and I'm seeing things then how about this ....how about you do Me a favor and tell me what the heck do you see? Nothing? You are lying if you say so. ... please just tell me weather you see anything or not? Cause if I'm that crazy and seeing this like I am I may need mental help....

I told you what I see, as I said, most of what you posted is natural stone. Did you look at the link of pictures on pareidolia? I am trying to help you, not insult you.

You also might want to think twice about "putting me in my spot", or "any member in their spot".

Brokensmilez, don't feel insulted or let down, this happens all the time. You have found art, but it is Mother Nature's art. Man-made art is more uniform and usually leaves signs of being worked.

I see natural rock indentations. Nothing looks altered purposely.

Welcome back.

your first rock is definitely a "something". It looks to have been made on a roughed out rectangle and then a teardrop shape was pecked into the surface, with some details added. However I doubt it to be native american, were it so I would expect it to be better crafted considering the effort that was already put into it.

Like Charlie says, indentions in rock look natural, when pictures are blown up .
