I tried hitting a new area this morning , first place I knocked at was a 1749 house , secured permission and had free run of the place . From my understanding the place has been hit a few times. But luckely for me they missed a few things. I ended up scoring a few 1700's items to include a nice solid gold cuff link , a solid brass candle holder ,then moving into the 1800's a fired small caliber musket ball and a finial tip , then into the 1900's 2 1942 mercury dimes ,some key ,some modern clad ,some iron etc.....
While I was wrapping things up with the owned and ready to head out he decided to tell me that out in the field is a old civil war era road bed , where lots of minnie balls have been found and of course he waits till im leaving before mentioning this , but all good because I will be back there soon .....thanks for looking !
