Hello everyone. Found a sweet knife/blade.

Also found these 2 pieces. I am not sure if its natural or just very weathered pieces. They were found about 20 feet apart, no other similar rocks found in the area. This larger one appears to be fluted.

This smaller one has knapping near the point. The side pic shows the underlying grayish unweathered rock. Thoughts?

Nice blade- the second two I don't think are artifacts. I have found stuff like those, wrong material but it does break to an edge like that.

Nice find that blade is killer the other 2 are a tough call is it possible to get closer pics of the edge profile ?

I'd have to say that was a preform..

Ya I was thinking that or just a very weathered/beat up piece. They both just look to formed to be a natural occurrence. They have a similar fluted base to them.

I have found a few bigger triangle shaped pieces that are rough like that and have the same fluted look to the base ..... makes you wonder if they are that old or just the flaking method they used on these cruder pieces but not quite as old as Paleo era. The one place I have found 3 of them and several nice archaic points.

Ya it definitely makes you wonder. Flash floods would carry these things down rocky dry creek beds and beat them to death, then they bake in the desert sun for god knows how long. Would love to see those pieces you have if you still have em.

Ya that 2nd and 3rd one looks very similar to mine. I think mainjman is right, I bet these are preforms. Thanks for posting those!

Nice blade looks a little thin to be a Adze blade but could be.

4 and 7 pic looks suspect for artifacts on last set of pics.

First picture looks like a preform, the rest are natural. Keep looking and good luck.
