some of the rings I found the last few years, I sold about 65 rings for scrap metal
but will not do that again because they were worth more to just look at and keep.
Also some of the foreign coins and odds and ends that I found, surprising how
many can be found and lost.

Wow that is quite a collection! I agree...doesn't hardly seem worth selling unless you really need the money.

I see there are lots of CTR rings in Idaho also.....Kane 23

Aren't all your coins foreign?
I've seen your finds posted for a while,
I haven't seen a SLQ, Walking Liberty or indian penny in the bunch.
:laughing7:

Seriously, there are dectorists in the US that would kill for the kind of stuff you guys consider 'new"

How common is MD'ng in the UK.
As in, do you guys bump into each other like they do in FL (and you STILL find gold coins there, lol)?

Saw one guy today but all the fields I do are mostly for Dad & I only, as the farmers trust us.

You do have some interesting rings there. I would never sell a ring for scrap, never. If anything I would get a table at a flea market and get a few bucks apiece for them. I did that this weekend with a case of costume jewelry I found and made a few bucks and had a great day out talking to people. Besides that I picked up a few coins buried by my table, so I sold and metal detected at the same time :laughing9:
