Took these last Tuesday, as me and a guy I call the Mitsubishi man went up to make a donation to the 2018 Boom Days mining competition. We took a little drive up towards a place I did business with in the later 80s and early 90s before it shut down. The hills east of town are just littered with relics of the past when Leadville was a silver mining boom town. It is a town rich in history of glorious times to bad times and even part of my time, which I care not to go into, as I still wonder how I got to where I am today with the hellish life I lived around here more then 40 years ago now, though there are scars to remind me of some of what went on back then, every time I look in the mirror to shave. Why God didn't bring Apple stock to my attention with all the money I simply brew back then, I'll never know.
I'm guessing he wanted me to find the path of righteousness the hard way and for that I'm grateful, as I've found treasure that's, so much more worth having today then what caught my eyes back then.
