Had my eye on this old place for a while but could never catch anyone home. Well, tonight was my lucky night, however, the owner told me it had been detected many times before because there is a cannon buried in the yard. The story she told me was in the early days there was a cannon on the property but an accident that caused half of someones face to be blown off prompted the owner to bury the cannon. Anyway, I wasn't interested in the cannon and the previous detectorists didn't get em all!
Only had a couple hours before dark but got permission to come back. Pulled a 1906 Indian, '36 Merc, '41 Washington and 5 Wheaties (25, 35, 41, 44, 53D). The Western knife was a cool surprise. I couldn't believe how nice it cleaned up after being buried about 4". The Angel is brass. Good luck out there! The skeeters found me tonight!
