Had my eye on this old place for a while but could never catch anyone home. Well, tonight was my lucky night, however, the owner told me it had been detected many times before because there is a cannon buried in the yard. The story she told me was in the early days there was a cannon on the property but an accident that caused half of someones face to be blown off prompted the owner to bury the cannon. Anyway, I wasn't interested in the cannon and the previous detectorists didn't get em all! :laughing7: Only had a couple hours before dark but got permission to come back. Pulled a 1906 Indian, '36 Merc, '41 Washington and 5 Wheaties (25, 35, 41, 44, 53D). The Western knife was a cool surprise. I couldn't believe how nice it cleaned up after being buried about 4". The Angel is brass. Good luck out there! The skeeters found me tonight!

Nothing like those "hunted out" spots. Nice group of finds there. C'mon...dig that cannon up!

Congrats on the cool keepers. I like the knife too. All the ones I ever find are rotted away.
