A few pics I've taken while unemployed the last 4 months (at least the portions where I wasn't in the hospital).

Picked up a side job the week after I was laid off, it paid for a new Canon DSLR camera body (needed it to do the job).

Taking pics of flowers beats the pants off taking pics for the dealership. Hope you guys enjoy them.

Nope, like looking at them too much. On the other hand, I tried something new this year --- sweet cayenne peppers.

Not really sweet, but they have no heat to them. Still trying to figure out one thing ... Why I mean, it's supposed to be hot, it's a pepper!

Beautiful pics. My father lived in Crossett Ar when he was young. Probably in the late 1940’s to early 1950’s I’m guessing. His father, my grandfather, was in the timber business.

Just a paper mill town now, and most of those jobs are going away from here or being taken over by automation. Lots of loggers are having to drive very long distances -- often out of state -- to stay in business.
