A few what is its from the 1850's

Here are a few things I need some help with. Two objects look to be about the same. Any ideas? This my first post with a new smart phone so I guess we will see, if I'm smart enough to use it.

Is the large one an adjustable vent to let air into a wood stove?

That does seem to be the consensus but I am skeptical, they are always at old sites, I have dug 6 or so of them myself

The upper right one could also be a nut for a Romex wire connector in an electrical junction box.

Sorry, I know that was not helpful but I couldn't resist!! I agree that the lower one looks like some kind of vent cover or damper but it seems to be awful small to be for a wood stove. I do NOT have a great deal of experience in this area though.

The bottom item is a damper from a woodstove door. Had one exactly like it on my last stove. The stove actually had 3 different ways to dampen. One on the bottom center of the door, one on the upper center back, and one on the pipe.
