🔎 UNIDENTIFIED My wtf from 2024

Cleaning out my junk finds. Could never figure it out . It was found at 1880s mill site near my work. The black piece in center is rubber I think. It's got a few tiny holes. It's heavy and iron. First glance it looks to be drawer handle but the off center of it I'm not sure. Any ideas. This one was a tough one earlier in year.

It looks like an anti-rattle strike plate off of a door from a very early model-T era auto.
