I found the owner of a privatly owned church & got permission to hunt.....I think that qualifies as a "Find".

Today I had to go to one of the properties north of me for work, so I decided to take some pics to post here for all of you. As you can see, the scenery is horrible, The place is overrun with vermin, and the traffic & smog is just too much for one to have to deal with, so you wouldn't want to move here........just kidding. I did find the owner of the church, and he gave me the OK to detect there alomg with the old houses around it. I did see the inside of it last summer when it was being restored, and it is beautiful to say the least. I hope you all enjoy the pictures of my normal day at work.

OH, you can bet I will. The pics of the water are all the same lake, only half of it is frozen.......not sure how that works? I saw guys in boats fishing on one end, and guys ice fishing on the other........strange.

Great pics!!! Love that scenery.
Good luck your church hunt.

Looks to me that you have photos of Lake Lenore and Dry Falls lake there.I've had some very good fishing in those lakes, but in warmer weather than that! I wouldn't last long in a float tube this time of year!

Great , Great pictures, I envy you! Keep us posted on your finds from this great site.

Good guess Junkdigger.......but it is Banks lake. Float tube would be great at Dry Falls......but Banks is a little big for the tubes.

PS
Yes, the fishing there is awsome!

Those are great pictures....Need to make a fortune selling postcards ;D

Awesome sites, and great pics, Good luck on hunting them

One question............. Do you mind if my wife and I come live with you ;D

Paul, I love your "normal day at work"! You are great at finding awesome places to md (with awesome pictures to go with it).

Looking forward to seeing pictures of what you find.

Cheryl
(BTW, thanks for letting me see the pictures of the aftermath of the windstorm you all had there. I just about wanted to cry, all those trees downed that had been there for decades. Note: Paul lives in my hometown).

I knew I had seen someone post a pic of the bottle somewhere. The first time I saw the picture of your bottle, I kept telling myself that I need to get a pic of that barn for you..................so there it is. If you want me to email you a higher quality picture so you can print it, let me know. I had to reduce the file size a ton to get it to post here.

Nice pics! That's the kind of vermin I like to see!

Darn! I haven't eaten yet and that 9 course meal sure got me hungry.

Gorgeous pics Paul!!!

And congrats on securing permission to hunt the church. I'm sure it will be very rewarding! ;D

Keep us posted.

Here is a about a 180 degree pic I made by merging 4 shots together. It didn't come out so great because the exposures were different for the last 2 shots because the sun poked out from behind a cloud & because I didn't have a tripod. Normally I can pull off a 360 degree photo merge. From what I have been told, people have been throwing change off there for good luck forever, So I plan on going to the bottom for a look.

Beautifullllll. May I ask what denomination is the church?

Modernminer........I am in Washington State, and we have gold too.

Charlene.........I guess you would call it non-denominational. It is privatley owned. The owner rents it out for weddings & such. It was not in great shape when he bought it, but they did a beautiful job of restoring it.
