A first for me

So I'm out detecting over the weekend when I get a strong signal in the nickel range. The signal jumped around a little but it was a strong signal, it was also a large signal when I pin pointed it.

I dug down about 6" when I find some other persons trash. There was dozen or so pull tabs, pieces of wire, chunks of shredded pop can, broken key etc.

I'm still not sure what to think, at first I laughed but then I thought where's your code of ethics.

On one hand how lazy not to throw it a way, but the person did take the time to collect the trash and in all reality it was going to end up underground in a land fill. I just found that persons mini landfill.

I wonder what that person must of been thinking when they did that.

It is very plain to me as to what you found. A detectorist is telling you he has been there and dug quite a bit. Probably best to find another spot... the previous hunter has done a nice job of collecting the goodies. The pile of "properly" buried trash tells you so

Been there done that. Nothing is more frustrating than digging someone elses trash. Well other than not filling in their holes.
