Since the weather has been cooperating, no snow, and the ground isn't frozen, I decided to go out and see what I could find. Decided to go to a school that I had hunted last summer, and had had mixed results at. School is out this week, so didn't have to put up with kids, teachers, etc. Couldn't believe the amount of coins that I found today. Ended up with 54 coins, and a total of $8.26. Around here, that's a pretty good day any day you go out.

The thing that was a first for me, was when I got a quarter reading, dug the plug, and out popped a Abraham Lincoln dollar coin. I did a private smile, returned the plug, rescanned the hole, and got another reading. All I had to do, was reach down and lift out the plug, and slightly lower than the Lincoln dollar, I pulled out a Susan B. Anthony dollar. Now, I'm silently laughing to myself, as I've never found 2 dollar coins in the same hole. Just to be on the safe side, and while I had the plug out, I grabbed my pin pointer and stuck it in the hole, and bam! Another coin rings up. This time a Andrew Johnson dollar coin comes out of the same hole. A $3.00 hole? Grabbed the detector, and rechecked the hole again, and found nothing. About 12 inches from the hole that i found the dollars in, I get another quarter reading, and out pops a Sacagawea dollar coin. Now I'm really getting giddy.

On my way back to the car, I stumbled upon a Dinosaur token (my first token of the year), which I will give to my granddaughter. She likes and collects anything doing with dinosaurs.

All is all, a very good day for me. Hope you had a good one too.
