This is a heat treated fossil chert Kirk stemmed knife...it has a nice semi glossy patina and has only been sharpened a couple of times...The blade sharpening was accomplished by double beveling, and the tang has alternate bevels, pic.3, it’s a traitthat I’ve observed on several from the Tampa Bay Area...P.S.Further sharpening would result in a more serrated

Very cool Kirk.
Thanks for posting this excellent example. It clearly shows the alternate and double beveling.
