I didn't feel like traveling today so I just went to a local school. Fittingly, in the outfield of the big diamond, I got this 58-60 surface hit. Dug anyway. :dontknow:

Ain't it a wonderful feeling when one peeks into the plug and there's a glint of gold peeking back? :)

A pretty nice, pin, badge, whatever.

It has some weight to it for it's size, (5 grams).
But, it's not marked and it looks like either heavy plate or maybe even dipped.
I'm pretty sure it's not gold. Just pretty. :)

Here's the rest:

Any golf experts out there?
Is this golf egg getting ready to hatch?
Should I boil some water? ;)

Rather a shame, this one.

AND, yep! I did happen upon another ring. No tri-fecta this time but that does make 4 times in a row. LOL

Ya did it yet again WHADIFIND.

hmm .... please help my tired brain and poor vision here .... on your pin-badge find, I see two large crossed baseball bats over a miniature baseball diamond, with three identical bases and an odd-looking home plate & I even see an outsize pitcher's mound --- is this my hallucination or are those designs really there??? lol :dontknow: time for a nap....... :laughing7: Andi

You always have to dig everything on a playground or a ball field.... I usually find the coolest things digging the zinc penny signals at places like that. Nice digs.

I know all too well about tired brain and old eyes. You've pretty well nailed it, the gold covering makes it difficult for my camera to figure out.

Hopefully, these will help:

It rang in at about 83 because the piece around the middle is sterling. Usually, when I find these they are gold filled on silver. This one is a gold filled ring with a nice piece of decorated sterling around the middle. Bet it used to be really pretty.

Oh, and about your tagline? It's true, where there's wheats there's silver, (or at least there used to be. ;) )
