A gold diamond?

I didn't feel like traveling today so I just went to a local school. Fittingly, in the outfield of the big diamond, I got this 58-60 surface hit. Dug anyway. :dontknow:

Ain't it a wonderful feeling when one peeks into the plug and there's a glint of gold peeking back?

A pretty nice, pin, badge, whatever.

It has some weight to it for it's size, (5 grams).
But, it's not marked and it looks like either heavy plate or maybe even dipped.
I'm pretty sure it's not gold. Just pretty.

Here's the rest:

Any golf experts out there?
Is this golf egg getting ready to hatch?
Should I boil some water?

Will the REAL play money please stand up.

Rather a shame, this one.

AND, yep! I did happen upon another ring. No tri-fecta this time but that does make 4 times in a row. LOL

Poor thing's had a tough life. Bet it was a beauty in it's day!

Gold filled and sterling. Ya know, I think I'll take it!

Try not to be jealous. Just keep at it and they will turn up. But, you need to learn your machine well and then, pay attention to what it's saying. It is talking to you all the time. Not ALL those trash hits skipped are trash.

It's kind of funny. We try to find the best detector for our money. As state of the art as we can afford. Depth, signal separation, ground balancing, as accurate a discrimination as we can afford. What do we do with all that technology? Dig everything. LOL!

It's true. You absolutely have to consider every signal. Some, you may choose to skip, for now, but, you KNOW you're taking a chance.
