Went digging in the same spot I had been for the past few weeks this afternoon. Found these, all in about an hour.

I think that you are on the quartz point mother lode. Nice finds today.

Super finds, Like that quartz! :icon_thumleft:

Wow, in an hour , that place is putting them out . Nice day!

That was an hour very well spent. Nice finds!

Nice Quartz! We don't find them here.

Yeah, It was certainly an hour well spent. Found the big one in the first 5 minutes and found the other 3 all in the same hole about 4 feet away from the first one about 45 minutes later. I certainly am in Quatrz country right now.

The one on the left is a Squibnocket Stemmed and the one on the right is a Wading River but I'm not sure on the types of the other two.

Excellent! Wish I could do that.

You had a very productive hour. What part of the country are you from?

Massachusetts.

So how deep are you at hitting these? Very nice ones.

About 8-12" down seems to be where I'm finding all the quartz. I'm hitting sand at about 18-24" so there's nothing beyond that.

What period are these from? Some I have gotten that are Early Archaic I have seen at 6-8 ft in depth.

Late archaic through middle woodland I believe.

Where I'm digging now you hit sand or clay at about 2 feet and there's nothing below that.

Must be nice to hit them so shallow. I did some research at one time trying to figure the levels to inches per period where I live. I was bored then lol.

Looks like a good afternoon, keep on diggin.
