Went to the beach today for a couple of hours and found these two rings the small gold one with the broken shank rang up as 5 on the Nox 600. I knew it was gold when it came out of the scoop because it was so clean. The area I was hunting had lost about two feet of sand and it was about 8 inches deep. Its marked 417 or 10K. The large ring rang up as 18 so I thought I was digging a penny. When it came out of the scoop I thought it was stainless and was happy at least it wasn't a penny . When I got home after giving it a better look I saw the PD950 mark which made it my first Palladium ring. When I bought the NOX I thought I'd be notching out pennies until I checked my 14k wedding band and it rang up as 19. Then with small gold and silver ringing in at low numbers you just have to dig it all .
