Relic Hunting
Brought a friend of mine to an old house place a week or so ago and it dates back to the early 1900's. I've found a couple of good finds there and he found some military pins when I brought him. This really sparked my interest in the site. I like finding the old coins a lot but I haven't been lucky enough to find many military items, but I have to say this is my best military find to date. It must have been a war prize and I was lucky enough to unearth it a couple of days ago. A lucky find for me, but a grim reminder to many of our war hero's. Thanks for looking and thanks to all of our war vets.

Congratulation!!

I think it says..."The German House". But not sure. Hogge

Well thanks for that info that's nice to know I haven't had much time to do any research on it any info anyone can provide is well appreciated.... And here are some pics of those two metals or pins my friend duggit found a couple weekends ago.... The one with the Fleur de lis is from someone from Mississippi I believe because it has the state motto on the bottom it in Latin I believe but it means "By Valor or By Arms". All these finds are from central Louisiana...

very cool fork. I love war relics. so much history involved :icon_thumleft:

Nice score on the fork! Those can be worth a few bucks. Der Deutsche Hof was/is a hotel in Neuremburg where Hitler stayed when he was in that area. Definitely a vets souvenir. The other two items are a US Army enlisted mans collar disc, and a DUI or Distinctive Unit Insignia. I looked for it but didn't find what unit it is. I'll look more in the morning if no one beats me to it.
