First time out on the field since early last year. Took out the Omega for the first time and gave this old hunted out Church ground another shot of producing something good again. I scanned very carefully along the church walls. I have in the past but had to deal with a lot of nails from past exterior repairs. Let me tell you, the Omega did not let me down. Got a real good high reading and bam, out come a penny. Hoping it was at least a wheetie. It had crust all over so I couldn't see the face. It was not a wheat cent so I was beginning to think it was an Indian. Rubbed more off the face and thought it was foreign coin. Rubbed a little more and started to see a bird. I was thrilled. I saw an eagle. Awesome, my first flying eagle cent 1858. Never give up on those old sites.
