A Large Gun Shaped Thing

This thing weighs about 15 pounds, it was in a spring in east Texas. I have no idea what it is, do you?



I did not carry it home, I cleaned it off the best I could, it is really scummed up from being in the water and muck for how many years. Any idea?

Leaving the garbage is so anti green... lol

It is anti green, and to compensate for my anti green behavior I try to over compensate the pro green behavior in other areas! LOL

Was there a rail road around there? I don't think it's from a car or truck either? It looks like some type of lifting device the square end being slid into something and the slot engaging a lip on what ever is being lifted? What ever it was intended for was very heavy for sure? HH

No rail road, but I was told there was a saw mill on the property at one time, it would have been about a mile from where I am digging these items. I found part of a cart track by the saw mill yesterday. I found three of these.
