It's been slim pickens here lately. Between the lack of tourist and the weather sanding in the beaches I haven't found anything good since early last month. Today I went out and started the dry sand just above the wet sand and got a nice little signal that turned out to be the sliver ring. It's small but it's #80 for the year. Then I headed into the water and it was still pretty rough so I stayed closer to the surf, about knee deep. Got a faint little tone and scooped up another Tungsten ring which I slipped into my pocket (#81). I saw the silver inlay and thought okay. I had found one earlier this year that retailed for about $245.00. Once I got back to the house I got the loupe and was I surprised. I saw the maker, "Artcarved" turned the ring a little and saw the infamous "Tungsten Carbide" and then "PT950"?? Sure enough. I looked 3 times and kept seeing the PT950. I'm pretty sure I said Wow out loud. I know it has to be a micro thin inlay of platinum but I found the ring on a couple internet sites and it goes for $950.00 - $1,200.00 depending on which site. It's the fourth bit of platinum this year. Thans for looking and good luck out there.

Got one like it with a wider band of platinum a month or
so ago, fresh water. Sold it to my son in law for $105.00.
Nice find, especially when the 14k is slim.
