Went to a field close to a town founded by the Romans in 1st C. We didn't expected much because it's too far from the former Roman Vicus and too close for the farms. But fields close to old towns can hold finds from it's history and we were not disappointed.
Lots of musket balls as there was action from 30 years war till prussian times. Still waiting for a cannon ball there.
Buttons, watch winder, buckle, religious pendant, a couple coins with three Roman coins and one silver made the day complete. A bit weird were the bunch of ear marks(?) out of this field.
My personal best find of the day was a chat with a farmer i had by the end of the day who pointed me to 2 new sites i didn't have in my records.
