It poured rain all morning and when it finally stopped it was cold and windy. With a couple of hours left before dark,I talked myself into braving the elements and headed for a local oak grove that has produced a few keepers in the past. This is a small area with some apparent history(Not all good according to MichiganJay).Anyway,Jay and I have both hit this area several times and you would think we'd have it cleaned out by now.....not! In the past I have hunted this area with my DFX.....today I used my first love....my trusty IDX Classic..(wouldnt trade it for anything). With my baby cranked to the max I started pulling weak signals in areas I know have been gone over and over.In about two hours I was cold to the bone ,but I had a fist full of oldies to take home.
