Sunny and 80F today, the last nice day before the crummy weather hits, so I struck out looking for a ghost town in Arizona I was reading about.
It was a long bumpy and rocky road to get there, but once I did, I couldn't figure out where the people lived. All kinds of mining activity, but no areas with any of the usual telltale signs.
I detected the area for a couple of hours and didn't dig a single interesting target, so I bailed. But along the way I spotted some broken glass shining a ways out in the desert, so I grabbed the D2 and went to investigate.
My first dig-able target was the dime!
I didn't have very long to look having wasted so much time with the other spot. I'll definitely be going back though!
I'm glad the dime didn't get as beat up as that thimble!
Does anybody know what the rectangular iron object is?
I keep finding them, both down here and up north.
