Been hunting Camp Logan and have revisited some of the local parks recently. I love to hunt both...Logan provides some older stuff and parks are much easier with all that open ground.

It's great to see everyone breaking out of the winter hibernation and posting all the goods

Friend Steve and I hunted a little patch of Logan and came upon this little beauty...I had heard that someone had found it, but had never seen it. Not something we wanted to mess with.

Also found this on that hunt: right in the middle of a path that had had countless detectors pass over it...

Next hunt at Logan I went by myself and found this little guy...

Today, TXTim, SSEHunter and I hunted Logan again. It was a fun day. The dime and button were 8+" in a heavily hunted area. The buckle has a patent date of 12/26/1906. Also found a button that looks like it came from some jeans..."ACE HIGH" written on it...don't know if it's old or not.

There's also a '43P war nickel and a '57 wheat in there.

I came across this while hunting a park...was this guy on fire or some kind of life-force-sucking alien?

A nice little 10K kid's ring with fake stones. By the swings.

I found my first Washington Jackson (thanks Monty!) dollar.

Re: A little gold...a little silver...

Looks like you had a great hunt for silver, buttons and other odds and ends. Yes, when the snow stops falling, snow melts and ground unfreezes then I get to go detecting.... ;D

Wow beatuifull ring, and I like all the other things too... That grenade makes me shutter. I found one on gulfshores in Alabama one time. Needless to say it made me a little nervous. Becareful, and HH.

I heard from schoser on another board that the footprints were caused by someone walking on the grass during a frost. Mystery solved.

Nice finds, I thought maybe the guy had something on his shoes to cause the grass to die, just so he could leave a mystery!

Really? You must have very fragile grass down there.

Nice grenade. What did you do with it?

Yeah...I'm not totally sold on the theory, but it's TX and we have had some frosts which we usually don't get, so who knows.

The grenade is still there. We weren't going to mess with it. I think the best thing to do would be, on the next trip, verify it is there and call the cops and see if they want to send the bomb disposal unit. It is not where you can see it or get to it very easily and not many people go back there. I did not dig it up. I'll have to ask Baz who found it originally. Hopefully they wouldn't declare the place off-limits because of it...maybe, instead, it would be good PR for us...?

well better to be safe and not let a kid or someone else find it. I think you have no choice as it looks real to me and not a dummy so I would have the local authorities come get it. Don't touch it, put water on it, etc. They are very unstable the older they get and that one is very old .
