Been hunting Camp Logan and have revisited some of the local parks recently. I love to hunt both...Logan provides some older stuff and parks are much easier with all that open ground.

It's great to see everyone breaking out of the winter hibernation and posting all the goods

Friend Steve and I hunted a little patch of Logan and came upon this little beauty...I had heard that someone had found it, but had never seen it. Not something we wanted to mess with.

Also found this on that hunt: right in the middle of a path that had had countless detectors pass over it...

Next hunt at Logan I went by myself and found this little guy...

Today, TXTim, SSEHunter and I hunted Logan again. It was a fun day. The dime and button were 8+" in a heavily hunted area. The buckle has a patent date of 12/26/1906. Also found a button that looks like it came from some jeans..."ACE HIGH" written on it...don't know if it's old or not.

There's also a '43P war nickel and a '57 wheat in there.

I came across this while hunting a park...was this guy on fire or some kind of life-force-sucking alien?

A nice little 10K kid's ring with fake stones. By the swings.

I found my first Washington Jackson (thanks Monty!) dollar.

nice finds.
that machine is way too clean.

LOL - I get that a lot...I am one of those people who think that you should take extremely good care of a $1500 machine. Plus, it's only a couple weeks old.

Wow, nice haul you made there. That's a beautiful little ring... Oh, those pineapples are hard to chew, rough on your teeth, lol.... That sure is a scary looking old thing. Be careful out there, the explosion might tear up your new baby, lol...

Great assortment of finds. Definitely frost kill. I worked at a golf course for years. HH!

Great bunch of saves, Really like the Rings.

Nice finds. If you walk across grass while frozen or frosted it will leave foot prints like the ones showing

Hmm the hand grenade that you did not mess with, did you tell some one about it, like law enforcement?? Is there not a school nearby??

Do kids play in the area??? What if the next person by plays with it???

If your parks are maintained with fertilizer and weed killer then chances are the beds in the park are spayed to kill the weeds with roundup, a nonselective herbicide that kills all weeds and grasses. You are walking throught the roundup treated beds and it gets on your boots, if not carfull to wipe your feet in the dirt after walking through treated areas will also leave these ghost prints. These ghost prints will be visible months after the dreaded mistake has been made. I have left some through work on some lovely lawns myself in the past and a phone call followed.

I did not know that. :icon_scratch:

BEEP! I hope you just 'zoomed in' on the photo of the grenade! :tongue3: :D That thing is scary looking! :o Hope it's gone!

Your finds are fantastic as usual!

Nana :)

Great bunch of Treasure Finds there Beep
Good pics and excellent displays like that make me drool :tongue3:

Are the two Eagle buttons related?
and -
We don't want to hear any loud noises from your direction - so pleased to see you get ridding of the ordnance ;D
and-
This must be the the Very First Time on TreasureNet that 'footprints on grass' identification is under discussion :D
I have lived in many frosty places and I have never seen that effect before.
Like Marty, I reckon somebody had "RoundUp" on their boots - notice the grass has died beyond the shape of a boot sole.
Mike :sunny:

Love the patina on those buttons!!!
Happy hunting!!!

Definitely frost footprints! Oh, and a nice Barber, too! I'd have dug a deeeeep hole and buried that grenade; local law enforcement being involved might just lose you the privilege of hunting that site. One grenade, in the minds of some, is an arsenal.

You hit a mother load of finds. WTG.

Don't believe any cover up story, the truth is out there.

There are aliens all around us...MYSTERIOUS FOOTSTEPS.

LOL. Those were sure weird, kind of makes sense that maybe could ruin the grass if walked on with frost on the ground, but I have walked on my own grass with frost on the ground with no apparent effect like that.

HH

Nice finds. I prefer to use a shovel to dig rather than a grenade but whatever works for you. :D

Seriously, I hope you had that grenade taken care of and watch out, there may be more there.
