The first button is one of those "muffin-top" poofy buttons. It's gilt and has a small eagle over a shield, with like ribbons or something on the sides and a nest-looking pattern on the bottom. I can't read the back. This is the first time I've found such a tall button and google images was no help, though there are some with different tops.
The second button has a big'ole set of bagpipes on it. It was damaged so I had to glue it together.
Any help? IMG_0563.webp

I think the left one is mid nineteenth century new York state milita

It is similar, but the eagle is looking to the left on mine, the shield is smaller and has a bird nest under it.

This one says it's good for midevil fair costumes but it's not quite exact but really close

Thanks. Yep, I found a lot of buttons that closely resemble the bagpipe button. I found it very near the Michigan officer's button and an old Hessian Eagle button. Whoever it was, it could have been a Scottish unit from either war, Rev. or Civil.
