A Little Roman History

Well this find could easily go in the what is it section. It's obviously a Roman brooch (looks like a knee brooch 2nd/3rd century), but look at it's size it's tiny. Wonder if it's a toy or some type of votive offering ?.

WOW!! That is a dink , not that I'm an expert , but I've paged through my Gordon Bailey and Nigal Mills books , didn't see a brooch less then 3 cm , yours looks like it's less then 3 cm ,.. closer to 2.5 cm ??
