I bought a large amount of jewelry a while back at a garage sale and I finally got around to looking through it. Anyway I found a watch, Bucherer, Swiss made.. Seems they can go for some decent money or not much at all.

The only thing I can see on the back is 1017.

Compared to the stuff I saw on ebay, this seems to be a cheap model. There is no date and no Jewel number. I am more concerned about it being a fake than a cheap watch. I know ebay gets pissy if you try and sell fake stuff.

Anyway more info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can't tell anything specific from pictures. Take the watch to a reputable jeweler and have them remove the back. Look at and record all numbers and marks from the works and inside of the back. You can usually identify the model and age of the watch from this information. Having a jeweler do this is usually inexpensive or free. This would be a good time to develope a relationship with a jeweler if you haven't already.
