i just never properly introduced myself on this forum... i joined about a year ago but was a lurker for a few years before that coming back to this site to gain knowledge about treasures and detecting. i was born and grew up in the bay area california to croatian parents, lived in ca 20 years then went off to live in croatia this past year where i now reside. I always liked treasures, gold, and pirate tales from an early age. When i was little i made treasure maps, i liked burning the paper edges and middle parts to make holes to make it them look old and 'pirate looking'. I would sketch it to follow the garden boundary lines then buried my coins in the ground at the 'x' and had an adventure every week digging them back out and then redigging them again. When i was 12 i finally got my first radio shack detector i used it but got discouraged as i didn't find much and thought detectors suck so i quit detecting. I was still interested in treasures but only found old 'amfora' pieces in croatia while snorkeling during summers on vacation. About two years ago i found out about the vast number of land and water detectors so i got interested in them and picked up a few i thought were best from my readings about different ones. Anyways hope i can be of help to others with advice on this great forum:icon_thumleft:
