A Metal Detecting Correction: Zoyboy's 2007 Recap

Yo, zoysters, it's KirkPA's twin brotha, zoyboy. Well, folks, 2007 is just about gone and 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 are not too far off. Well, let's get to this zoyboy's 2007 year.

To make a long metal datecting recap story short, it was a year of research, coppas, relics, butt-ins, spoons, forks, 1830s knives, musketballs, etc. Eventually, as this wonderful year progressed, I began to yank out those coppas in true John Walter fashion. As John Walter would have stated about my year, "Good, that's good, yup, that's what I am after, yup, yup. You know what you're doing, boy." My coppa finds for this year:
-1700 William III coppa
-1787 Connect-i-cut coppa
-Slug Colonial coppa
-Dateless Classic Head half cent
-Numerous other coppas
-Crazy Injuns
-15 Wheat cents
-About 11 handfuls of butt-ins
-About 3 handfuls of musketballs
-One rusty 1830s-style knife
-Yes, folks, this zoyster is 626 wilvers behind Captn_SE (Dan, you frickin' rock, man.)
-A Civil War Infantry Butt-in
-Etc.

Well, folks, this coming year is going to be a dandy. I have narrowed down about 5-10 Colonial-era sites that are now "gone with the long before it." As Chris Cagle would state,

Well, folks, I would like to thank PACO, KirkPA, and vpone for memories that will last longer than the actually finds. Dudes, let's keep the passion high, and keep swinging with the extreme fever.

P.S. All relics were found with an outdated, analog-style White's XL Pro that came off of the production line about 15 years ago

P.S. Numba 2. For those of you folks who don't know who John Walter is, here it is http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,118730.0.html.

Update: Folks, I will probably end the metal detecting year with 12 coppas.

Hey Kyle,

Just a friendly reminder. Make sure you get to home depot sometime over the winter and pick up a wheelbarrow for all of the coppas you guys are going to find next year. ;D :o I'm sure it'll come in handy. The next person who wants to join the club can join as an apprentice and push the wheelbarrow around for the first year. :D :D ;)

You are hilarious, Rob! 2008 A.D. is going to be a great year, pending permission and invitations to hunt the many properties.

J.D., thanks for the reply, man! I hope to accumulate a collection as large as yours one of these metal detecting days.

Re: Zoyboy's 2007 Recap

Those are some great finds Kyle. Even though I cannot see the pics right now as I am at work and it blocks pictures that are posted from a database (Dept of Defense Security) BUT I KNOW as I have seen those coppas before and they are just as beaUTiful in the Minds Eye ;D as they are in Real Life ;). Hey, THAT ANALOG WHITES detector is top of the line bud! Thank God for Relics and American Made equipment! I am going out this weekend to a new spot. Hopefully will find some great things. Have you mapped out or researched any new areas......Keep tearin it up bud! ;)

On Wednesday, I was at home by myself and researching a Colonial site that I had received a lead on. As soon as I put the pieces of the puzzle together, I was yelling outloud, "Yes. I did it. Yes. Yes. Boo Yah." :D I just hope the metal detecting permission is obtained when the time comes. If not, I have about 5 other sites that are equally comparable to the one that I just finished.

Oh BTW, if you were wondering How I knew that your finds were Beautiful without being able to see them......that is because: I KNOW as I have seen those coppas before and they are just as beaUTiful in the Minds Eye as they are in Real Life ;) ;) ;)

He'd have no problem swinging a Minelab SE then. ;)
Vpone will also come in handy hauling out all those 2008 Coppa finds too!

OK. Here's the new plan. Vpone can detect with one hand and shuttle the wheelbarrow around with the other. If for some reason there are any fallen tree trunks in your detecting area, he can remove them as well. :o :D :D ;) Thats a big dude!! ;D

Vpone is a frickin' ox in the field. I do remember him saying that he benches around 350-400 pounds.

That should come in handy if you get out of line ;D :D You just never know when you're gonna need to eject someone from a colonial site. ;)
