Been really slow this season so far, almost shockingly slow, even for junk jewelry finds (hardly any so far, other than sunglasses). Only a tiny 1.4gram piece of gold and hardly any coins yet. Decided to get a workout and clean out a couple not-so-fun-diggin spots, turned out to be a good thing
Some pics.....
Found a good boat anchor

trailer hitch multi-ball

spinner ring, old ring, 14kt pendant

Unexpected indian head (4 total)

earlobe ring thing?

silver looking ring, thought for sure it was junk, like many other before it ...it did feel kinda heavy, no markings though

Ended up being my biggest score to date, probably ever, brilliant 1ct old-world heart cut (nicest heart cut stone the jewelers have ever seen around here), 14kt white gold with 35 small diamonds inset in the band, all si-1 & G color or better.

Appraisal says $13.5k retail, $10.5 replacement value
If it's "the one" I had heard about, it has a unique story, with some heavy history, that could add to it's value.
Only problem now is coming home with anything less for the other half, she'll never be impressed!
It was a result of hunting just a little bit longer, after several hours of diggin nothing but bottle caps in 105 degree heat!
Happy hunting all
