A much needed walk in the woods!!!!!!!!!!!

Got up early this AM, drove up Cave Run Lake and took a long walk in the woods. About 5 miles from the lake a young deer jump out in the road in front of me. I slamed on my breaks, but I still hit him just hard enough to knock him down. "On damage to the 4-Runner" He jump up, gave me a mean look and went about his way....................Enjoy the Pics!!!!

That's very pretty country, Gator-Flea. 4-Runner, ATV? I hated ATV's in the woods. I was always conniving a way to plant land mines for them. One day down south of here I encountered this old f*rt like me on one of 'em and he stopped and visited and told me all about his machine. Then he told me, 'I used to walk 20 miles through these woods but my knees finally gave out and I could barely walk down to the mailbox. My kids got together and bought me this thing last Father's Day, and now I can get back out on the trails.' There but for the grace of God go I, and I am more tolerant of ATV users now. Great pics, sorry for the story, but it just came to mind.

Thanks every one, I never take the 4-runner off the paved roads. Most of that area around the lake is the Danial Boone National Forest. Most all the trails there are for "foot" traffic only. They have good parking at trail head where you can choose from hikes ranging from a miles to ten miles or more.
