A New Years Wreath

So the first hunt of the year turned out to be an awesome short hunt and a first for me. I somehow managed to pull out the wreath portion of a C.S. belt plate. It has a L stamped on the flat well of the plate which I believe is associated with Memphis Novelty Works ( Leech and Rigdon). Hopefully the tongue portion is close by as I had to cut the hunt short and was unable to search long after finding it. Not to mention a couple of nice IHPs as well, almost forgot about them after seeing the wreath. Good luck to all !!

Hope you find the other half! Over the 155+ years it's been there I bet the plows in that field could have moved it quite a distance away (looks like some really big plowed fields too) so I would carefully grid off each section at a time...then do it over again about 100 times until I found it. lol

Lol, yes I think I’ll be in that field for a while! No sign of it in the immediate area but still hopeful!! May take a while , will post if it shows up. Hopefully the other half isn’t in another state somewhere.
