A newb's first finds

Good Day everyone I'm a first time post but a fairly long time lurker.
A little about myself I'm from eastern Ontario Canada and am new to MD'ing.I just got my Bounty Hunter 3300 discovery on monday but didn't really find anything just tryinging to figure out the machine. I was finding mostly nail's washer and 2 toy cards... well that was until today

I was hunting on a private beach a short walk from my place and was only finding the nuts and washers and other junk. finally I decided to take a go at the hill above the beach which has a well manicured lawn. after a few swings I get a solid 25 cent reading around 113 117 on the bh, after cutting a square in the lawn and 2 inches down I get this beauty a 1958 Canadian Quarter 80% silver!!! I got a few more targets but it was all rusty iron peices. So I'm Definatly going back probably later this weekend. I can hear the calls from her brothers and sister waiting for me.

Great find Ian! My first detector is the 3300 I bought about a month ago. I haven't found any coins other than pennies (one, a '35 wheat) but I hope to get lucky real soon. This is fun.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
The first picture is actually a compulation of my finds from monday until today minus 49 cents in clad.

I also found a rifle shell that has DAC 1943 WI On it just after I found the quarter.

Good looking silver quarter. I'm a fellow Canuckian and have yet to find silver!
