A went to my new permission today and got in 5 hours of swingin my CZ 21. The day started cold at a brisk 26 degrees. Luckily the ground had only a thin skin of frozen ground so I was good to go. I gridded a small section of the yard and then did a wander around to see what was there. I will keep going back until I have gridded the yard and covered it a second time with a different detector.

I found a total of 80 coins including 14 wheats dated 1912, 14,17,19,20,20,25,26,39,42,44 S,45,47, and 57D, a Canadian cent dated 1910, 2 Indians 1901, and 1908, and a 1945 S war nickel.

I also found a nice old door key, a rifle shell from the Denver arsenal 1942, 2 clock winding keys, a steel backed Cub Scout button, a bible verse token and part of an ornate gas light jet.

Lastly I found this embellishment that was broken in the ground. No idea what it was on, but interesting none the less.

I was a little surprised and disappointed that I didn’t find any silver dimes. With a little luck I will find them next time I go there. With all the wheats there should be some old dimes as well.

Thanks for looking and may your coil lead you to good things.

Great combo of finds. I think the 1910 Canadian Largie is my favorite. Unique find!
