A "PEACE" ful day in Old Santa Fe !!!
After mondays dental nightmare , I was definitely ready for some MXT time . I was hunting
around some old parking areas near downtown, when i spied an old building with a very small
lawn in front of it (more a dirt patch than lawn) and i'm thinking, this looks like possible wheats and
mercs. i'm scanning this area and in no time i get a solid 94 signal at 1 inch ! out comes the probe
(screwdriver) and up pops this 1923 s PEACE DOLLAR !!! --- No i dont yet have a camera but will
post pics , cause i need to be able to prove to myself that this really happened . I was careless with
the screwdriver and put a scratch on the obverse, so i chose to clean the coin more than i would
otherwise and it helped the damage quiet down. A nice 1st for me with lessons learned. Gregory,
Santa Fe.
