I'm terribly slow at posting these finds from last Friday but have been pushing to wrap up summer duties before school began this week. Went to my favorite farm and I concentrated on one section of yard near the house. I didn't hunt too long as it was humid and the ground very DRY. Pulled out a larger silver-colored coin that turned out to be President Harrison from the Shell Coin Game (Franklin Mint - 1968). Also dug up what appeared to be a button. My 6 YO son ran to the car to wash it off and said it "had a tiger on it!" A bit of research at home showed it to be a Cub scout Bobcat pin (early 50's - mid 60's) While not the old silver I was hoping for it was better than a poke in the eye with a sharp digging tool!
Also found a nice ring, possibly from an early hitching post?
I think this location has hidden treasure still, if I can sort through all the iron and rust relics.
Thanks for looking and HH.
