A Rare Token The Octagon Governer Guard

My understanding is this one i found is the only Octagon one known the rest are round. Can anyone shed any light on it, outside of what i know about it?

No what did it say? Local coin shop said they never heard of the 8 sided. I see the listing is for the round type.
