I'll let you decide why I think that with these finds.

One thing though, the Indian head wasn't found today. It was just one of the more successful cleanups of one. I had it soaking for quite some time. Kinda nice when one cleans up nicely, ain't it. :)

So, here's the finds sans the prerequisite cladage , but with a neat helping of love. ;)

Remember to always enjoy.

HH!

Hmmmmm, guess not. :) LOL

mmm im guessing it has something to do with all the chinese/japanese stuff and that its all naval related

I love them, especially the heart medallion, but why are they strange? All naval?

what an awesome find:icon_thumright:

Well, yeah, kind of all of the above. But there just seemed to be an emphasis on buttons this day. Maybe the dry cleaners had a bit of a spill way back when? ;)

I don't know much about buttons so I don't know if any of them are special. :dontknow:

Still, a very interesting day.

The strangeness was in having a day where I found so many. Not usual for me. I don't even know what ones would be considered "good". :dontknow:

The heart medallion is very interesting too. All those translations! Kinda neat!

Nice bunch of finds! :occasion14:

Well first off a lot of great finds there, Second. 71 yrs and one month to the day since Pearl Harbor, And you found the Pearl harbor Pin, All the navy buttons,
And If I'm not mistaken alot of the languages represent Some of the major players of WWII. A lot of cool finds.................HH

The brass piece that looks like a "Sorry" game piece is a hat pin back. I found four before I figured that out.

Nice buttons and Indian

I might be mistaken but I believe your heart medallion says, "I love you" in all the different languages. It's in Polish and Swedish on there as well. Neat!

My favorite is the Pearl Harbor pin.

Very Cool!!! Ive never found that many buttons in a week!..Your right..the dry cleaner must have had a spill..lol..Cool finds!

That is some very cool finds right there. Love the Navy buttons and the Pearl pin.
Congrats, treat them well my friend.
ZDD

Love finding old buttons, but never found that many in a hunt. Very cool!

Veteran's day find a little early ...that's all.!

Seeing the back marks of the buttons helps in iding them. In Alberts book of buttons there are many variants of the Chief Petty Officer button. I think your first 2 buttons are in this class and from WWII. The third I have found myself but there are many post-1850 makers and variants, as this pattern was in use until 1941.
