UPDATED PICS - LOCK SOLVED!
I really enjoy walking around this old mansion. Sometimes, I feel like I've walked over every single square inch of this place, at least twice. LOL Yet, I always, always, always find something interesting!
I've thought about this over and over. WHY?! I can't just be walking around all these hits! Then, today, I realized something. Everything is pretty much the same there. The grounds, the conditions, the detector and I've covered the gamut of weathers.
There is one thing that is different each time I go there, namely, me. I don't mean the good days and bad days we all have in this. I mean, "me". One thing that is different each time is my level of experience. I am better than the last time at discerning what my detector is telling me.
That's not by mistake. I try very hard to learn more about detecting every time I go out. It's worth the effort.
Just a word to the wise.
LOL
ANY-hoo, here's what I found on this walk.

I thought this was a rock at first.

When I turned it over, it had it's own bling! LOL
Actually, I'm thinking something melted with bits of glass in it.
(I'm assuming they're glass)

Now, here's an interesting find. Or at least, combination find.
I got this very obvious quarter hit. Not a huge hit, typical short, solid hit, 85-89, repeatable.
Not a large or loud hit. I called it as a quarter, probably clad. Two inches down, there it was.
Rechecked the hole and there was something else below it.

See that thing that Blingie is surfing on? THAT, was in the same hole as this quarter and I only read quarter
initially! LOL

I'm thinking andiron.
Then, there was this little gem to round out the day.

I started cleaning a bit, just to see if there was a date. There is but I had
to figure out a way to take a picture that would show it. Didn't think y'all would believe it
if I couldn't get a pic. (LOL
)
Here's the best I could do.

Combination of special lighting, a loupe, and zoom.
I won't say what I think this is, I'll let you tell me.
Sorry about the long post but, I sometimes don't know when to quit.
Thanks for peeking!
