Tried a hillside area on the southeast corner of this Baltimore city park and came up empty except for one wheat. I tried a few other spots looking for some "old" dirt and eventually ended up back at the walkway. This is when the detecting got a bit more interesting. First good target was a tombac button. Next I came upon a two wheat find; the two coins fell on the ground "face-to-face" and remained thus for about 80 years, a 1919 and 1935; there was another target in that hole and it turned out to be another wheat, 1936. Along the way, I uncovered another marble, so I'm on a several hunt "marble streak". The hunt ended with another true "edge of walkway" keeper, a shield nickel, which has an excellent obverse of no rays, but the reverse is poorer, leaving the date unreadable.
