You find more clad quarters than anyone on this forum. Are there vending machines where you hunt? Just curious why so many?
Yep...I do. I've always said that they could drop me in King Tut's tomb and I would *still* find clad! 😏

Most of the quarters were lost over the years. I can tell by their depth/condition. But, that is coming to an end. Less and less people are even carrying coins anymore.

Also, from time to time I give myself leave to only dig what I call "high squeaks". Like, on lazy days or days over 99°! It cuts down on time digging and sort of concentrates the walk on quarters.
